Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the gained 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the were Argen-X (BR:), which rose 5.96% or 4.60 points to trade at 81.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (BR:) added 2.31% or 1.08 points to end at 47.84 and ING Groep NV (AS:) was up 1.06% or 0.116 points to 11.040 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telenet Group (BR:), which fell 3.97% or 1.98 points to trade at 47.90 at the close. Sofina (BR:) declined 2.01% or 3.40 points to end at 165.60 and UCB (BR:) was down 0.67% or 0.54 points to 80.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 60 to 45 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.64% or 7.70 to $1200.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.01% or 0.69 to hit $69.28 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.26 to trade at $78.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.1646, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8904.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 94.85.
