Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the gained 1.52%.
The best performers of the session on the were Altri SGPS (LS:), which rose 4.36% or 0.2800 points to trade at 6.7000 at the close. Meanwhile, The Navigator Company SA (LS:) added 3.78% or 0.1400 points to end at 3.8440 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:) was up 3.75% or 0.5450 points to 15.0600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:), which fell 1.17% or 0.0420 points to trade at 3.5420 at the close. Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS:) declined 0.56% or 0.050 points to end at 8.800 and REN (LS:) was down 0.50% or 0.0120 points to 2.3960.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 2.72% or 1.62 to $61.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.08% or 1.57 to hit $52.50 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.03% or 12.60 to trade at $1238.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1354, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 96.855.
